What exactly are the "hidden costs" that FL.Y covers?
While many government schools offer free tuition, education remains inaccessible due to auxiliary expenses. FL.Y provides financial coverage for uniforms, sturdy footwear, textbooks, stationery, and mandatory examination fees. By removing these specific financial friction points, we prevent students from dropping out due to "out-of-pocket" poverty.
How can you teach AI literacy without computers or internet?
Our "Road to AI" curriculum (including the Seeds of Silicon handbook) uses a methodology called unplugged algorithmic thinking. We teach the core logic of neural networks, data pattern recognition, and machine learning architectures using physical metaphors, logic puzzles, and collaborative games. This ensures that when students eventually gain hardware access, they possess the high-level mental frameworks needed to master the technology.
How does the "Chapter Model" allow FL.Y to scale so quickly?
Instead of a centralized hierarchy, FL.Y operates as a decentralized network. We empower local student leaders to establish "FL.Y Chapters" in their own schools and districts. We provide the branding, the curriculum, and the strategic roadmap, while the local leaders execute the ground-level outreach. This "Blitz-Scale" approach is how we aim to reach 100,000 students by the end of 2026.
How is the fundraising goal of ₹30L–₹36L being utilized?
Every rupee is mapped to a student's retention. It costs approximately ₹6,000 to ₹7,200 per year to keep one vulnerable student in school by covering their essential supplies and fees. Our current goal is designed to secure the academic futures of 500 students immediately, while simultaneously funding the printing and distribution of our offline AI literacy materials.
Is FL.Y a government-funded organization?
No. FL.Y is an independent social initiative. However, we engage in Strategic Partnerships with state and national-level government leaders. We align our goals with existing educational mandates to unlock resources, gain institutional access to schools, and ensure our curriculum reaches the students who need it most through official channels.
